I understand that the medical/rescue workers - heroes, all of them - in Haiti are saving lives in horrible circumstances, but why is there not enough morphine by now, why has it not been sent? Why are child amputees screaming? I don't think I can watch or read any more.

It is dreadful, dear Nasim. I have heard that there is only one adequate field hospital, one set up by the Israelis, but I hope that has changed, and people are being cared for.
Hey Mim, Yes, I have seen that in reports that the Israeli medics have put up a good field hospital, thank God for them, though I think they are missing some basic supplies too. Must be so demoralising for the doctors.
Hey Nasim, that's a good question that you are asking. I read some messages on twitter, from persons living in Haiti, saying that the aid is there but not distributed yet. I wonder why.
I don't want to detract from those who are involved in the rescue efforts but it seems there may be squabbles/power struggles between the different aid agencies and countries involved. Again, we don't know what is really happening.
