The difference an e makes
It is interesting to see how often I come across the book referred to as The State of ME. This is of course wrong! It is The State of Me. I'm sure people who see this on Amazon USA think it's a book about Maine.
susan, this makes me think of freshly caught lobster i had in maine years ago at a relative's house - i didn't enjoy it at all! ... i'm sure there is absolutely nothing about maine in tsom, so readers may be let down.
bobo, are you bein all fancy & blogging wirelessly from the londonia train? i look forward to your review - now is the main character called helen or nasim? - (that is a wee joke!)
I tried to change it to Me before but Amazon USA wouldn't accept my blog as a valid reference to support the change... The writer is not to be trusted with the title of her own bloody book!... I have tried again using the HarperCollins website.
hey m, it's just a bit annoying they have the title wrong... a book about Maine is v different to a novel...people may pass it by and not even click further down.

Mmmmm...do it have a good lobster recipe?
LOL
It IS funny. At least you still have the comfort of being the "M.o.S.T." backwards.
Oh, er, wait a minute...
I suddenly had to check my very bad (as in naffly written) review of TSoM just to check I hadn't ME'ed it.
Phew! I hadn't. I obviously was paying attention. Good review to follow tomorrow.

ME to me means illness..........
Inthemud, yes, indeed - ME is a main theme of the novel! But the title is The State of Me.

Well, if people in Maine buy it mainly for that, why worry? :-)
