Three

I have on three pairs of socks and my feet are still like ice. I can't heat up. It's an M.E thing. The heating is cranked up. I am so tempted to cut the fingers off my gloves but that would just be silly. Be gone, Arctic weather front!

Scots are strong--those rain storms. I've seen children in Scotland out in a rain kids in the States would hide from. But snow--you're not used to it. Have the shivers stopped?

Hey Mim, We are certainly used to the rain here ;) We just don't get snow this early or this severe. It's gruelling for everyone. But body temperature is always dodgy with this illness, things aren't regulated properly. My main task today was to return a library book and I multi-tasked - pushed the boat out (!) - and sought out some indoor gloves. The shops seem to be full of fingerless ones with a wee hat motif sewn on to the glove, really vile, why the hell would you want sth as ugly as this? Anyway I got a half decent pair and am hugely cheered up. It makes a difference. Still need three pairs of socks though.

I'm exactly the same with the freezing feet. I just spent too much money at the Sock Shop online on angora bed socks, fleece socks, ridiculously fluffy socks... They even do thermal socks with actual tog ratings (got two pairs of those). It was quite a large order in the end but my feet and I are a lot happier.

Hope you are cosy now, my dear. You are better off shopping online, the shops are HORRID just now, I came away feeling misanthropic with a capital M. I wanted to cry.

Brrr!
Usually, we don't get much in the Southwest of England, but last year and this year we've had almost an inch of snow. :)

Yuck I so relate. I hate the temp control issues with M.E. Gotta be amused by the fact that I sweat when it's cold instead of when it's hot though, I suppose, lol.

Hope those poor feet have warmed up by now! It's been a nasty cold patch this last week. I was hoping we wouldn't have to put up with this till January.

Mmmm angora bed socks sound gorgeous!!!!
