‘Can there exist, in principle, a proper beginning to any story at all? Isn’t there always, without exception, a latent beginning-before-the-beginning?’

British Journal of Radiology: research into brain changes in ME
I have just started "Why be happy when you could be normal" by Jeanette Winterson and the inside of the cover had this wriiten
"...showing how fiction and poetry can form a string of guiding lights, a lift raft which supports us all when we are sinking."
It instantly made me think of you Nasim your own writing and blog.
I would be lost in an ocean of despair without the humanity and kinship that emerges from the openness of people to share in words........ I have always loved the beauty and power of words, how they can be like a healing balm to the soul.

Thanks, Kate. I plan to read Winterson's memoir, this is a lovely quote indeed.
