Listening to Amitav Ghosh

After all the fun of the fair, the exhaustion of defending myself against accusations of bad science, I had hoped to post something light, but my head and heart are heavy with the Mumbai attacks. I am almost afraid to watch the news. I saw Amitav Ghosh interviewed on Newsnight last night about the attacks, I have never seen him and thought him younger, I was mesmerised by his way of speaking and could have listened to him all night. He has a writer's voice. (I have to read Sea of Poppies.)
