‘Can there exist, in principle, a proper beginning to any story at all? Isn’t there always, without exception, a latent beginning-before-the-beginning?’

Four years
Four years to the day, The State of Me was launched, one of the happiest and most surreal and exhausting times of my life.
Happy Anniversary nasim! I don't think I ever shared how I came across your book. I was searching on amazon for books on m.e & disappointed with the usual drivel I came across a description of your book yet to be released. I was captivated & remember telling my partner at that time how it was exactly the book I had been looking for & how much I loved the title. I remember having to wait a few months for it to be released but I waited & it did not disappoint. I loved it & still do. A refreshing relief of a book not only about M.E but filled with laugh out loud moments that I could truly identify with. I will always love your book so thank you for writing it & despite the exhaustion it caused (must have been off the scale!) you & your wonderful book are to be celebrated! X
thanks, vikki, for your words, I love that you saw the book before it came out, it was a scary time. My original publisher had gone into liquidation but happily for me HarperCollins came to the rescue, just added to the whole roller coaster that writing this book was. I still feel very proud of my book and hope it is making a difference. X
